Hurricanes Yoga is led by Grace Petit, a Dubai resident and certified Yoga Alliance Teacher (RYT 200), and Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT). Being the daughter of a traditional Chinese doctor and herbalist she has always been interested in living a healthy life first discovered the beauty of authentic yoga back in 2004, in Hong Kong, learning from Indian Yoga Masters. She instantly fell in love with the mindful asanas and pranayama (postures & breathing techniques) practice.
“I am so grateful to become a yoga teacher for Dubai Hurricanes. I hope sharing my passion for yoga with more H
urricanes families and their wider community. Through each mindful inhalation and exhalation, I will lead you to deeply connect to your own body, mind and soul, thus empowering you to find a balance and clarity in your life…Namaste!”
Grace and family are active members of Dubai Hurricanes #WDYP4!
In 2017, Grace moved to Dubai with her family. Since then, she achieved her postgraduate degree in education and became a French teacher. Post her studies, she completed a total of 300-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training at The Yoga Institute (founded in 1918), the oldest Yoga school in the world to become a yoga teacher. To pursue her dream and bring the benefits of yoga and mindfulness to children, she also became a certified Children’s Yoga Teacher following a 95-hour Children’s Yoga Teacher Training.
Grace is passionate about both yoga and French and upon request, likes combining both in her practice. Grace speaks fluently in English, French, Cantonese and Mandarin, which enables her to connect with her students of different backgrounds and nationalities. Alongside her regular French teaching role in a primary school, Grace teaches yoga to individuals, adult groups and children in Dubai.
