It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Jamie Black, who died in a tragic accident last week. A keen rugby player and golfer, Jamie will be missed by many people all around the world.
Dubai Hurricanes RUFC will be hosting a memorial game in his honour at the Exiles ground on Monday 10th September at 8 PM. All of Jamie's friends and acquaintances are welcome to attend.

As a rugby player, Jamie was an anachronism. In an age of players wearing gloves and shoulder pads, Jamie simply got on with the job in hand with head taped and either a smile or a face of grim determination.
He rarely, if ever, made a mistake on the pitch, never mind had a bad game. His involvement with the Hurricanes for the last 4 years has been invaluable and he was a contributing factor to its' success. One of life's true gentlemen, never saying a bad word, nor having a bad word said about him.The world would be a much better place if more people were like him.
Dubai Hurricanes RUFC would like to extend their deepest sympathies to Jamie's entire family, particularly his fiancée Louise. Our thoughts are with you.
Rest in peace Jamie. Who do you play for??

Jamie Black
For the few of you who have not heard the horrific news from yesterday, Jamie Black has been killed in a tragic freak accident. While out for a run Jamie stopped in at a development his financee Louise and he were working on and stepped in a pool of water that was live with electricity.
Training tonight (Monday 3rd September) and until further notice, will be canceled. We will meet as Dubai Hurricanes Rugby Club tonight (730pm) to discuss our best course of action, if there is such a thing in these circumstances.
From every perspective this news is extremely hard to deal with and no more so than for his fiance Louise. I am sure I speak for the entire Hurricane's family in sending our most sincere condolences to Louise and Jamies family.
Rest in Peace Jamie. You will be sorely missed as a friend, a rugby player, a golfing partner, a compatriot and one of the biggest contributors to our rugby club, both on and off the field. Our thoughts are with you and your family.
